Volume 2026: Edition 49

Hello everyone. We thank you for your love and support for our Church and our family. Please continue to pray for our church, our pastor and his leadership, and our church leaders that we may continue to share the word of God. We are so blessed and grateful for the growth in our church, the ability to share our messages and newsletters with our viewers, and the strengthening of our church family and viewers as a congregation and as individuals. We strive to bring encouragement and connection through this newsletter, which we will continue to post every 1st of the month. So, we hope you will continue to learn and grow in God's word with us.
Happy June, everyone.
Summer is around the corner, and next month our country celebrates its 250th anniversary.
What a way to kick off summer and enjoy time with family and friends.
To enjoy long days in the sun and warm,
clear nights with the occasional thunderstorms that roll in at evening time.
God has placed us in a beautiful state to enjoy
and in a moment in time to fellowship and encourage one another.
Food for thought:
Our food for thought this month is the reasoning behind celebration,
remembrance, the value of family, and most importantly,
are we putting God first in everything we are doing?
This month we celebrate the remembrance of D-day, a day in which our country, along with British and Canadian forces and help from many other allies across the world,
turned the tide against Nazi Germany in world war 2.
We also celebrate this month, “Juneteenth” - the official end of slavery throughout the United States when Union Major General Gordon Granger issued general order no.3 to free the last enslaved people in the state of Texas, in accordance with President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. And on that same weekend, we celebrate Father’s Day.
Please take a moment out of your day to give thanks for how far our country has come.
For the many moments in our country’s short history to overcome what so many countries and nations have attempted to, only to watch, fail and fall short on…Freedom.
And to all the fathers and fathers to be and fathers we lost,
Happy Father’s Day!
No one should celebrate these holidays or days of remembrance just one day (yes, they are set aside for a day of remembrance), but as Christian’s and citizens of this great country, we should give thanks that God gave us these moments that generations before us overcame. These days we celebrate, and we should keep in our minds these daily reminders of the freedoms we have all imparted to our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus, and to celebrate the freedoms
God put in the hearts of mankind.
I think it is only fitting that all these celebrations and days of remembrance lead up to our country’s 250th birthday and celebration of our freedoms. But we also must not forget that in between that, we celebrated mothers and fathers, in which our families
and the value of families every year have been attacked and diminished…
This month also sheds a dark light on our country’s diminished value of families by acknowledging and celebrating Pride month…something that we must all not take lightly. Accepting any sin and any sinful act is wrong. To celebrate it is even worse. We are told in many stories throughout the Bible, but this one in particular is always helpful for me, because it shows compassion and acknowledgement of all mankind’s sins:
John 8:2-12 NKJV
Now, early in the morning, He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This, they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger,
as though He did not hear. So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest, even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman,
He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours?
Has no one condemned you?”
She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
We must all fight against the sins of this world and not celebrate them. The celebration of sin leads nations to fall and for mankind to have no hope and live in our own darkness. To make choices that lead to decisions that would destroy all future generations. We all know sin is sin, but to celebrate Pride Month, to devalue the family God intended us to have,
has led to many individuals also devaluing life itself.
This country alone, in the past 5 years, has accepted that on average 1.2 million babies are not worthy of life. Abortion has destroyed many generations to come, many lives, all due to celebrating the freedoms of choice. In our freedoms, we as a people did not put God first in all our decisions and celebrations. And by doing so, all our holidays have been corrupted and used for profit and promotion of things not intended. When we celebrate these days of remembrance and these holidays, put God first. Let Our Lord and Saviour be the one and only reason for these celebrations. Let our God’s Holy Spirit lead the way, and we will celebrate with God’s love in our actions and hearts. We as people will push back and fight against the wrongs done. We as Christian’s won’t celebrate sin but fight against it. We must stand in what we believe in, with Our Lord leading the way. If we do that, our future generations will be saved. The many lost babies by a horrific choice, the destruction and devaluation of family will change drastically, and our future generations will have the foundation that was always intended.
Our God and Saviour first.
Remember this:
1 Peter 5:6-11 NKJV -
Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God,
that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Romans 3:23-26 NKJV -
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
John 3:16-17 NKJV -
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Matthew 22:36-39 NKJV - “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
Jesus said to him,
“‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul,
and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’
I pray that we all stand firm in our faith and belief. That we always encourage each other and fight for each other. That we will fight for the ones who don’t have a voice and help the future generations to come. That we take these freedoms we are given not for granted, but to our advantage by sharing God’s love and greatness.
May we always let our Lord guide us in all our ways.
