Volume 2026: Edition 51

Hello everyone. We thank you for your love and support for our Church and our family. Please continue to pray for our church, our pastor and his leadership, and our church leaders that we may continue to share the word of God. We are so blessed and grateful for the growth in our church, the ability to share our messages and newsletters with our viewers, and the strengthening of our church family and viewers as a congregation and as individuals. We strive to bring encouragement and connection through this newsletter, which we will continue to post every 1st of the month. So, we hope you will continue to learn and grow in God's word with us.

Happy August, everyone.

How fast this summer has gone by… and around the corner will be the fall season.

In a couple of weeks, kids everywhere will be returning to school. And everyone will be making plans for fall and winter activities. With that being said, plan on setting a Saturday aside at the end of August to help our church do some early fall cleaning, along with planning for October fest in late September, which I’ve never personally understood why October fest isn’t actually in October.

And since we are talking about early planning for seasons changes, we would like to throw out a quick reminder about any ideas or suggestions about planning for our Christmas parade and Christmas service and dinner; feel free to email us or comment on the church websites.

Also, if anyone would like to fill in for a Sunday to lead Sunday morning worship service, please contact Taylor or Brandy. As some of you know, Taylor and Dillon Lambrecht will be having their first baby anytime this month, and in case baby Adrian arrives close to the weekend or on it, our worship team will be out. So any volunteers would be appreciated. Also, send Prayers to the Lambrecht family for the upcoming new arrival to their family. May God wrap His arms around this new family, keep them safe, healthy, strong, and may the delivery be smooth and safe. May the Lord Guide the doctors, nurses, and specialists as they help bring baby Adrian into this world.

We also ask that Our Lord watch over all of us. That God will put in our hearts to pray not only for our family members, but for all in need and for our communities, our country, the leadership that drives our states and country, and for all our church family and guests who walk into our Lord’s house, that we greet each other with love and kindness and keep them all on our hearts as God commands us to:

Matthew 22:36-39 RSV - “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

And with that, we move on to this month's food for thought.

Food for Thought:

Hebrews 9:24-26 NKJV - For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another— He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

This past month I have read a few New Testament books, but for some reason these verses stuck out the most. I didn’t know why at the time, but I do now, and that’s because so much of my day is spent fighting myself. Fighting the struggles of the world’s grip on me. The daily reminders of past sins, my current sin, and my struggles of knowing as a Christian I am supposed to be a great example to everyone I encounter. But then the world reminds me of how bad I have been, and that I am on a daily basis with God’s grace.  There are two parts of the verses that stuck out to me from Hebrews 9:24-26 on a day that I was struggling with all my doubt and questioning myself on how I can ever overcome all this mess I have made.

Now to appear in the presence of God for us;  -Hebrews 9:24

He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. -Hebrews 9:26

I was reminded of how foolish I am to think that I can clean this mess. That I can fix it. That every day I can do better. When all I have to do is look at our Savior and what he did.

John 19:30 NKJV - So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

When our Savior died on that cross, it was for EVERYTHING!

Every sin. Every broken heart. Every past mistake. Every future mistake. Every person ever made was covered by His blood.

John 8:10-12 NKJV - When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”

 She said, “No one, Lord.”

And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

Our lord left reminders to stop what you are doing now and move forward in your life with Him. And in John 8:12 our Lord said this:

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

So, my question to each one of you is,

do you really think you can do this life all on your own?

Can you do enough to be saved?

Our Lord left us the greatest love stories in the Bible to help us remember He is always with us. Accept what He has given you and me. Don’t let our Creator’s offer pass you by.

Note to self. Let my past be my past. Let my mistakes go. Let my Savior cover all my wrongs and shortcomings. Let Him guide the way. Accept His Word and Love with every breath. He died to save me from this world and from myself.

Like Joshua in his time of doubt and fear, our Lord instructs us:

Joshua 1:9 RSV - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

And we should be like David and praise and thank our God for everything, every step of the way:

Psalm 71:14-18 TLB - I will keep on expecting you to help me. I praise you more and more. I cannot count the times when you have faithfully rescued me from danger. I will tell everyone how good you are, and of your constant, daily care.  I walk in the strength of the Lord God. I tell everyone that you alone are just and good. O God, you have helped me from my earliest childhood—and I have constantly testified to others of the wonderful things you do.  And now that I am old and gray, don’t forsake me. Give me time to tell this new generation (and their children too) about all your mighty miracles.

Thank you, God, for reminding me.

Amen.
